About Clarissa
Clarissa Marquez is a professionally trained classical Harpist from the Southeastern Wisconsin area. She received a Bachelors degree in Instrumental Performance: Harp, from Baldwin Wallace University's Conservatory of Music where she studied with Jody Guinn, harpist with the Cleveland Orchestra. Upon graduation, Clarissa moved back home to Wisconsin and began her professional career. Clarissa is a member of the Lake Geneva Symphony Orchestra where she serves as principal harpist and has performed many large orchestral works such as The Nutcracker Ballet, Berlioz's Symphony Fantastique, the Chaminade Flute Concertino, Disney's Fantasia, and Mahler's Symphony No. 4. Clarissa has been performing with the orchestra since 2015 when she won their Young Artists Concerto Competition and had the opportunity to solo with the orchestra performing the first movement of Handel's Harp Concerto. When not playing harp, Clarissa loves to spend time with her family, read, watch her favorite TV shows and spoil her husband Jason and their two cats; Diana and Toothless.
