Weddings
Weddings are one of the most common places to see a harpist, and understandably so because of the harp's romantic qualities. Harp is perfect for background music as guests arrive/leave, when the bridal party is walking down the aisle, and for background music while unity candles are lit. Once you say "I Do" and head off for pictures, calming harp music is the perfect background music during cocktail hour and dinner! Whether your event is indoors or outdoors, harp is an excellent choice for your special day. Understanding that each event is different, pricing is determined by how much music is needed, how far the commute is music needed. The standard rate for a wedding is between $250-$500 depending on the length of your event, how much music is needed, and the location involved. Contact Clarissa to talk about pricing for your special day!
Other Events
Business events, Christmas parties, baby showers, wedding showers, and church events are just a few of the events that you might want to consider having harp music at. If you are looking to create a calm, peaceful environment at your event, think about hiring a harpist to play background music as guest mingle, eat dinner, and relax! For non-wedding events I offer a rate of $150 an hour or $250 for two hours, plus a $50 travel fee for traveling over 30 miles.
As a classically trained harpist, I offer a diverse portfolio of background music that can include Disney hits, pop arrangements, and hymns or Christmas music, all based on the mood of your event. These are details we will go over once you reach out for a quote, so head on over to the "Contact" page and lets get talking!

For intermediate to advanced students we will focus on refining technique, finding your personal style, and narrowing down (and striving toward) your goals for the future. We will study standard harp repertoire, audition materials, orchestral repertoire, and even pop music, depending on your personal style! Tutoring
I offer 1-on-1, half hour to an hour, tutoring for music theory and ear training. Throughout my undergrad I had the privilege to take 4 years of music theory and ear training classes and always found myself wondering how much easier those classes would have been if I had been trained before ever going to college in the first place. I had the change to tutor many of my fellow classmates and developed a love for teaching these important skills to others.
The tutoring classes I offer are geared towards high-school students getting ready to take entrance music theory placement exams, but can be modified for anyone who wants to understand the fundamentals of music theory better. In theory classes, we will go over subjects such as; chord progressions, key signatures, how to read treble and bass clef, how to identify chords and how to analyze a piece of music with roman numerals and chord names. For ear training, we will study how to hear "tonic", how to build chords aurally, how to sight-sing, and how to sing scale patterns. The goal of these classes is to get students to the point that they feel confident they can ace their college entrance exams, and potentially even place out of lower class levels.
